Rochester Woman Sentenced to 28-56 Years for Murder of Ex-Girlfriend CONCORD, N.H. – A Rochester woman has been sentenced to 28 to 56 years in state prison after pleading guilty to the murder of her ex-partner in May 2023. On November 21, 2024, Haydee Rivera-Nadeau pleaded guilty in Strafford County Superior Court to Second Degree Murder for the shooting death of Lisa Rocheleau at her workplace in Rochester. Rivera-Nadeau also admitted to Falsifying Physical Evidence in an attempt to conceal her crime. During sentencing, multiple family members, friends, and community members spoke in memory of Rocheleau, emphasizing the impact of her loss.   Three Arrested in Rochester Drug House Raid ROCHESTER, N.H. – A coordinated law enforcement operation in Rochester resulted in the arrest of three individuals at a residence suspected of drug activity. The operation was conducted by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) District of New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office and the Rochester Police Department. The arrests took place at 55 Lafayette Street, where officers had observed Remy Lopez, 39, engaging in suspected drug transactions. Lopez was the primary target of the operation, wanted on a federal arrest warrant issued January 29 for 11 violations of federal supervised release conditions related to a 2019 fentanyl distribution conviction. Fire Damages Goffstown Home, Leaves Property Uninhabitable GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – A fire at 15 College Road on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, has left the residence uninhabitable, according to the Goffstown Fire Department. Fire crews were dispatched at 3:07 p.m. after reports of heavy smoke in the area of Mast Road and College Road. The Goffstown Fire Department, assisted by mutual aid companies from Manchester, Bedford, Hooksett, Litchfield, and Weare, arrived to find smoke and fire showing from the rear of the building, with occupants evacuating. Residents informed firefighters that the fire originated in the basement, and all occupants had safely self-evacuated. Fire crews deployed hose lines to attack the fire and conduct primary search and rescue operations. The fire was quickly knocked down, and firefighters successfully rescued two cats from the home. Manchester Man Indicted for Financial Exploitation of Elderly Adult CONCORD, N.H. – Attorney General John M. Formella has announced that the Strafford County Grand Jury has indicted 46-year-old David Furbush of Manchester on a class A felony charge of financial exploitation of an elderly adult. According to the indictment, between June 22, 2023, and March 15, 2024, Furbush served as trustee for an elderly adult, aged 60 or older. During that time, he allegedly took $1,500 or more in trust funds for his personal profit or advantage. The indictment states that the trust did not authorize Furbush to use these funds and that his actions violated his fiduciary obligations as trustee. Furbush is scheduled to be arraigned in Strafford County Superior Court on February 4, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. It is important to note that the allegations in the indictment are accusations, and Furbush is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO FENTANYL AND METH SALES FRANKLIN, N.H. – A Franklin man is facing charges related to sales of suspected fentanyl and crack cocaine following a monthslong investigation by the New Hampshire State Police Narcotics Investigations Unit (NIU). During the investigation, approximately 1,300 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, two firearms and approximately $5,000 of U.S. currency were seized.
